I was out attempting to get new shots of the first storm of the season, but it looks like it was a bust, as rain proceeded the storm and blanketed the area, meaning any lightning was hidden.
But in midst of me waiting for something to happen, I played around with the camera a bit and got this shot here.
This is so cool! its beautiful! looks almost animated. It looks like there could be a whole world in one of those rain drops! Maybe springfield is inside one of them. also looks as if there are like floating domes out of focus (bokeh) or maybe whole planets... Wierd xD but great focusing . The one negative about this is the blur in the foreground, in the bottom right corner. It doesn't look right. It looks like when I am failing at photoshop and blur it too much. It would probably look better if you zoomed in towards the top left corner and cut off some of the blur in the bottom right.
I can't believe that there is so much color in the out of focus rain! Ive tried to do that a few times but it ended up basically colorless. When I tried adding color in photoshop, it looked unnatural and wrong, but (somehow...) you got good color!
Zooming in towards the top left will shift the center focus then to being off centered.
I'm still trying to figure out how this shot even came to be, as it's nothing more than me putting my camera right up against the INSIDE of my windshield while it was raining and firing the flash.
